Ria Novosti reports an American Virginia-class #submarine entered on feb 12 the Russian territorial waters near Russian Navy Pacific Fleet exercises near Urup Island in the Kuriles NW of Japan. Udaloy destroyer MARSHAL SHAPOSHNIKOV "used appropriate means". The sub had ignored communication but soon left.
